Lucas White is a Nashville-based bluegrass guitarist, bandleader, and songwriter known for his driving rhythm style and deep roots in traditional acoustic music. Originally from Corsicana, Texas, White became the Texas State Guitar Champion at age 15 and has since built a career performing with some of the most respected musicians in bluegrass and American roots music.

White has been involved with the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Leadership Bluegrass program and has made appearances on both the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium, performing alongside artists such as Marty Stuart and Belle Frantz.

Now based in Nashville, White performs as guitarist and bandleader for Nash Grass Unit while also working in Belle Frantz’s country band. He has appeared on stage with artists including members of the Tony Rice Unit, Vince Herman, and Zac Brown Band, earning a reputation for high-energy live performances and strong ensemble musicianship.

Beyond the stage, White has also worked at the intersection of music and public policy, contributing to major legislation supporting songwriters and creators, including the Music Modernization Act and the HITS Act.

With Nash Grass Unit currently recording their debut album and expanding onto the national festival circuit, White continues to push forward as both a musician and advocate for the future of American roots music.
