Nash Grass Unit is a Nashville-based progressive bluegrass band blending traditional acoustic instrumentation with modern energy, improvisation, and powerful vocal harmony.

Officially formed in 2026, Nash Grass Unit (NGU) was built on years of shared experience performing together in Nashville. The band's foundation was shaped through a four-year weekly residency at Nation's Bar & Grill, where they developed a loyal local following and the high-energy stage chemistry that has become their trademark.

Since launching under the Nash Grass Unit banner, the group has quickly gained momentum, highlighted by their Whiskey Jam debut during CMA Fest week. Their live performances combine traditional bluegrass musicianship with adventurous improvisation, compelling vocal harmony, and a distinctly contemporary approach to acoustic music.

The band features Lucas White (guitar), Kelsey Crews (banjo), Connor Murray (fiddle), Tristen Norfleet (mandolin), and Sam Stuckey (upright bass)—five accomplished musicians dedicated to honoring bluegrass tradition while pushing the music forward.

Following the release of their debut single, “I Won’t Back Down (Live),” Nash Grass Unit continues its rollout with “There Is A Time,” a live recording that showcases the band's tight harmonies, instrumental precision, and commitment to capturing authentic performances in real time.

Whether performing on festival stages, at private events, or in intimate listening rooms, Nash Grass Unit delivers high-energy bluegrass rooted in tradition, driven by musicianship, and built for modern audiences.
